What Is Hospitality And Hotel Interior Design With VeroMetal?

Hospitality interiors require materials that enhance both aesthetic and ambiance. VeroMetal® coatings are made from real metal and adhere to surfaces such as wood, MDF, stone and composites. From luxury hotel interiors to wellness retreats, the finishes create memorable spaces through texture, reflection and warmth.

The palette leads with brass, gold and bronze, the three metals hospitality designers reach for first, each available with custom patinas to match your design intent. Because the metal arrives as a coating rather than a panel, a lobby wall, a curved reception counter and a guest room headboard can all carry the same genuine metal identity.

The Process

From Liquid To Solid Metal

Real metal reaches a hospitality interior in three cold steps, with no heat, casting or foundry equipment on site.

01

Mix

Real brass, gold or bronze particles are combined with a binder to form a cold, workable liquid metal in the chosen alloy.

02

Apply

The liquid is applied to reception counters, bar fronts and feature walls by brush, roller, trowel or spray, building a layer of only 120 to 150 microns. Detailed, seamless application works even on curved or vertical surfaces.

03

Cure and finish

Once cured, the surface is sanded, polished and, if desired, patinated or sealed to match the brand and theming of the property.

Comparison

Hospitality And Hotel Interior Design With VeroMetal vs Solid Sheet Metal

Both deliver a genuine metal surface. The difference is weight, freedom of form and how quickly a zone returns to service.

Hospitality And Hotel Interior Design With VeroMetal

VeroMetal coating
  • Approximately 0.5 kg/m², applied at 120 to 150 microns.
  • Bonds to wood, MDF, stone, composites, plaster, concrete and glass.
  • Detailed and seamless application even on curved or vertical surfaces.
  • Fully customisable for branding and theming, with scratch and stain resistance.
  • Applied to existing millwork on site, with no demolition.

Solid Sheet Metal

Traditional cladding
  • Many times heavier than a coating for a comparable surface.
  • Requires fixings, sub-structure and load-bearing support.
  • Curved reception desks need fabrication, welding and visible seams.
  • Branding variation means new panels, not a change of patina.
  • Real metal, but constrained by weight and installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hospitality And Hotel Interior Design: Common Questions

What is hospitality and hotel interior design with real metal?

Hospitality and hotel interior design with real metal means specifying genuine metal surfaces across lobbies, bars, restaurants, guest rooms and spa areas. VeroMetal® delivers this as a coating rather than a panel. Real brass, gold and bronze particles are mixed with a binder, applied cold at 120 to 150 microns, and cured to a solid metal surface that reflects light and develops patina like the metal it is made from.

Which metals suit hospitality interiors best?

Brass, gold and bronze are the signature hospitality metals. Brass gives lobbies and cocktail bars a bright, contemporary tone. Gold is reserved for statement reception features and ballroom millwork. Bronze is the classic five-star choice for brasseries, heritage conversions and bar fronts. Copper, zinc, manganese and tin are available as supporting tones, all with custom patinas to match the design intent.

What surfaces can VeroMetal be applied to in a hotel?

VeroMetal® coatings are made from real metal and adhere to surfaces such as wood, MDF, stone and composites, as well as plaster, concrete, glass and existing metal. Lobby and reception feature walls, elevator surrounds, corridor panels, bar fronts, restaurant surfaces, guest room headboards and spa reception desks can all receive a genuine metal face without structural modification.

Is VeroMetal suitable for high traffic hospitality spaces?

Yes. Hospitality interiors experience constant use and high expectations. VeroMetal® coatings are engineered to withstand daily contact and cleaning, and they are scratch and stain resistant. Sealed surfaces maintain their finish with standard cleaning, while patinated surfaces continue to develop character over time, which many hospitality designers prefer.

How much does a VeroMetal surface weigh?

A VeroMetal® surface weighs approximately 0.5 kg/m² and is applied at only 120 to 150 microns, a fraction of the weight of solid sheet metal of comparable appearance. That is why lightweight lobby walls, curved reception counters and suspended ceiling elements can carry real metal where solid metal cannot go.

Can VeroMetal be applied to an existing hotel interior?

Yes. Because VeroMetal® is a coating and not a panel, a certified applicator can refinish existing reception counters, bar fronts, wardrobe faces and feature walls on site. Boutique hotel interior renovation projects use this to refresh brand identity between cycles without replacing millwork. Application is cold and needs no hot work, so zones return to service quickly.
