Commercial architecture thrives on precision, durability and distinctiveness. VeroMetal® real metal finishes empower architects and designers to achieve timeless aesthetics across office buildings, cultural institutions, hotels and retail environments.

They are buildings where a genuine metal surface is asked to carry the identity of the architecture, and where solid sheet metal would be too heavy, too rigid or too slow. VeroMetal® answers with real metal applied as a coating at 120 to 150 microns, onto MDF, aluminium, steel, concrete and polyester.
The result is one finish across multiple substrates. A railing in galvanised steel, a shopfront in aluminium and a facade element in polyester can all read as the same metal, with the same patina, on the same building.
Real metal reaches a facade, a railing or a shopfront in three cold steps, in the workshop or on site.
Real bronze, brass or copper particles are combined with a binder to form a cold, workable liquid metal in the specified alloy.
The liquid is applied by brush, roller, trowel or spray at 120 to 150 microns. Spraying is how the 3D copper facade elements at Rabobank Heerenveen were realised on polyester.
Once cured, the surface is brushed, sanded, polished or patinated. Museum De Lakenhal railings were sanded and worked with steel wool, then given a potassium polysulfide patina.
Custom finishes include brushed, patinated, polished and sprayed options, in any metal in the range.
Black patina bronze on the Louvre Abu Dhabi display cases, brushed bronze on the Schaap and Citroen shopfront.
Museum De Lakenhal railings with a potassium polysulfide patina, and Tommy Hilfiger stores with a black patina and stripe detailing.
Polished copper on the sculptural Rabobank Heerenveen facade, and Ozeon green patina copper at the University of Sussex.
The most decorative finish, reserved for feature elements and display work inside cultural and retail buildings.
A cool, soft grey with a restrained character, suited to modern architectural and office schemes.
A pale, subtle grey with a quiet sheen, elegant on interior walls and fine architectural detailing.
A deep, near-black liquid metal for minimalist and contemporary commercial interiors, alongside Gunsmoke.
A raw, industrial finish that develops a living patina through exposure, chosen for its natural character.
Real metal where solid metal cannot go. Lightweight panels, 3D facade elements and sculptural forms in genuine metal, on buildings that could never carry solid sheet.
Both deliver a genuine metal surface. The difference shows up in the weight, the geometry and how many trades the metal scope needs.

Architectural flexibility is the reason architects reach for it. One finish reads consistently across a whole building, whatever the panel underneath is made of.
Standout projects that exemplify innovation in commercial architecture, enhanced with premium metal applications.
Louvre Abu Dhabi, bronze with black patina
Commercial architecture thrives on precision, durability and distinctiveness. VeroMetal® real metal finishes empower architects and designers to achieve timeless aesthetics across office buildings, cultural institutions, hotels and retail environments. Projects include the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Museum De Lakenhal, Hotel Motto Vienna, Rabobank Heerenveen, Schaap & Citroen, Tommy Hilfiger stores and the University of Sussex.
Yes. Rabobank Heerenveen carries 3D copper facade elements sprayed onto polyester, and the University of Sussex uses Ozeon® Copper Green Patina panels on stairwell and lift facades. Because the metal is applied as a coating at approximately 0.5 kg/m², lightweight panels can be lifted and fixed where solid sheet cladding would demand a heavier structure.
Architectural flexibility is the point. VeroMetal® works on MDF, aluminium, steel, galvanised steel, concrete and polyester. Museum De Lakenhal railings are galvanised steel, the Schaap & Citroen shopfront is aluminium, and the Rabobank facade elements are polyester. One finish reads consistently across all of them.
Visual consistency across materials is one of the reasons architects specify VeroMetal®. Because the surface is a coating rather than a set of fabricated panels, a single metal and patina can run across steel railings, aluminium shopfronts and MDF display cases with no change in tone or texture. Tommy Hilfiger uses a custom brass patina with stripe detailing to hold one identity across global locations.
Custom finishes include brushed, patinated, polished and sprayed options. Commercial projects have used black patina bronze at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, potassium polysulfide patina brass at Museum De Lakenhal, brushed bronze at Schaap & Citroen, polished copper at Rabobank Heerenveen and green patina copper at the University of Sussex.
Weight and freedom of form. A VeroMetal® surface is approximately 0.5 kg/m² at 120 to 150 microns, a fraction of the weight of solid sheet metal of comparable appearance, so lightweight applications become possible using recycled metal powders. It also follows 3D facade geometry and sculptural forms without fabrication, welding or visible seams.
