Luxury interior design is defined by the quality and authenticity of its materials. VeroMetal® is a real metal coating used by interior designers, architects and project developers to bring genuine metal surfaces to walls, furniture, staircases, kitchens and bespoke architectural elements.
VeroMetal Bronze, luxury dining kitchen interior
Luxury interior design materials share three qualities: authenticity, durability and visual depth. VeroMetal® satisfies all three. The coating contains real metal particles that behave exactly like solid metal. The surface can be polished, oxidised, patinated and aged using standard metalworking techniques.
Unlike foils or standard paint finishes, VeroMetal® creates a surface that develops genuine patina over time. Bronze darkens and develops verdigris. Copper takes on warm oxidation tones. This organic ageing process is a defining characteristic of authentic luxury materials, one that no simulated finish can replicate.
VeroMetal® is applied cold, without heat, casting or foundry equipment. Three steps take it from a wet mixture to a genuine metal surface in a luxury interior.
Real metal particles are combined with a binder to form a cold, workable liquid metal in the chosen alloy.
The liquid is applied to a prepared substrate by brush, roller, trowel or spray, building a layer of only 120 to 150 microns.
Once cured, the surface is sanded, polished and, if desired, patinated or sealed to lock the finish at a chosen stage.
VeroMetal® offers 15 or more metal finishes. These are the ones most frequently specified for luxury interior design.
The classic warm tone associated with traditional luxury. Suited to formal dining rooms, library panelling, kitchen cabinetry and hospitality counters.
A warm, reddish-gold tone. Popular in contemporary luxury kitchens, bathrooms and bar interiors. Develops a rich natural patina over time.
Brass and Yellow Brass give a polished, contemporary gold tone. Widely specified in luxury hotel interiors, retail fit-outs and high-end residential design.
Gold and Champagne represent the highest level of decorative finish. Suitable for statement architectural elements, display furniture and bespoke objects.
A cool, soft grey with a restrained character, suited to modern and minimalist luxury schemes.
A pale, subtle grey with a quiet sheen, elegant on furniture, walls and fine detailing.
Manganese and Gunsmoke are deep, near-black metal tones for darker, more restrained luxury schemes and contemporary penthouse design.
A raw, characterful finish that develops a living patina through exposure. Chosen where a luxury scheme calls for texture and age.
Real metal where solid metal cannot go. The weight, texture and authenticity of solid metal, without the structural complexity of sheet metal installation.
Both deliver a genuine metal surface. The difference is weight, freedom of form and where each can realistically be used in a high-end interior.

VeroMetal® bonds to most existing surfaces, which means an existing luxury interior can receive a genuine metal finish without full renovation. A certified applicator works on-site, so furniture, walls and architectural elements are refinished rather than replaced.
Interior designers and architects specify VeroMetal® across a wide range of luxury interior applications. The Louvre Abu Dhabi specified VeroMetal for its display cabinets, surfaces where material authenticity is paramount. Museum De Lakenhal and the University of Sussex are further projects at the highest specification level.
VeroMetal Bronze, Hotel Motto Vienna
Luxury interior design is characterised by the use of authentic, high-quality materials, bespoke craftsmanship, and finishes that develop character over time. In material terms, luxury design favours real stone, solid wood and genuine metal over simulated alternatives. VeroMetal® satisfies this standard by delivering real metal surfaces, containing actual bronze, copper, brass or zinc, rather than effect paint or laminate.
Luxury interior designers specify metal surfaces either as sheet metal cladding, cast metal elements, or metal coatings such as VeroMetal®. VeroMetal is the most versatile option: it applies directly to existing substrates at 120 to 150 microns thickness, which means any wall, furniture piece or architectural element can receive a genuine metal finish without structural modification or weight loading.
Yes. VeroMetal® is suitable for complete luxury interior fit-outs. Interior designers can specify VeroMetal across walls, kitchen cabinetry, staircases, furniture, ceilings and decorative objects, all in a consistent metal finish. This continuity of material throughout a space is a defining quality of high-end interior design. VeroMetal is available in over 15 metals and finishes to match any design direction.
VeroMetal® metal finishes are durable, tested and designed for long-term use. The coating is abrasion-resistant. A sealed VeroMetal surface maintains its appearance with standard cleaning. An unsealed surface will oxidise and develop patina naturally over time, a quality prized in luxury design for the organic character it brings to a space.
Yes. VeroMetal® bonds to most existing surfaces including painted walls, MDF, plasterboard, concrete and glass. A certified VeroMetal applicator can apply the coating on-site, which means existing furniture, walls and architectural elements can receive a luxury metal finish without replacement or structural work. This makes VeroMetal a practical choice for luxury renovation and high-end refurbishment projects.
