Bronze kitchen cabinets finished with VeroMetal® carry real metal on every surface. VeroMetal Bronze is a liquid metal coating containing actual bronze particles, applied directly to cabinet fronts, drawer faces, island panels, and splashbacks at 120–150 microns. The result is an authentic bronze surface that develops natural patina over time — on any kitchen substrate, without the weight or cost of solid bronze sheet.
VeroMetal® Bronze kitchen cabinets have been realised by leading kitchen studios across Europe, including Mint Interieur, Rhijnart Keukens, and Martin Van Essen Keukens. Each project demonstrates what genuine bronze brings to a kitchen — warmth, depth, and a surface that improves with age.

Most bronze-look kitchen finishes — laminates, foils, and powder coatings — simulate the appearance of bronze without containing it. The surface is flat, uniform, and does not change over time. VeroMetal® Bronze is composed of actual bronze particles in a cold-workable resin. It is applied to cabinet fronts and kitchen surfaces in the same way a craftsman would work a solid bronze surface.
The difference is immediately visible. VeroMetal Bronze has depth, texture, and variation that no laminate can reproduce. Over time, the surface develops authentic verdigris and oxidation — the same natural ageing process that occurs on solid bronze. Interior designers specify VeroMetal Bronze for kitchens where material authenticity is a non-negotiable part of the design intent.

VeroMetal® Bronze is applied to kitchen cabinet fronts and surfaces using a spray gun, roller, or palette knife. The coating bonds directly to primed MDF, plywood, and most existing cabinet substrates. No specialist metalworking equipment is required and the process can be carried out on-site or in a workshop.
The application process follows three stages: surface preparation and priming, application of VeroMetal Bronze at 120–150 microns, and finishing — sanding, polishing, or patinating the surface to achieve the desired result. The cabinet surface is then sealed for maximum durability, or left unsealed to develop natural oxidation over time.
VeroMetal® offers several bronze variants, each producing a different surface character. The choice of finish depends on the design direction, the level of patina desired, and whether the surface will be sealed or left to age naturally.
The standard bronze finish. A warm, mid-toned bronze with natural depth and texture. The most widely specified finish for kitchen cabinet fronts and hospitality surfaces. Develops verdigris over time if left unsealed.
A pre-patinated bronze finish with a more antique character. Suited to kitchens where a traditional or artisanal aesthetic is the design intent. Deeper tonal variation than standard Bronze.
A high-polish bronze surface treatment. Suited to contemporary kitchen schemes where a refined, reflective bronze surface is required. Sealed after polishing for long-term durability.
VeroMetal® Bronze kitchen cabinets have been completed by kitchen studios and interior designers across the Netherlands and internationally. Each project demonstrates the range of design outcomes achievable with VeroMetal Bronze — from warm, traditional kitchen schemes to refined contemporary interiors.
Mint Interieur has completed multiple VeroMetal Bronze kitchen projects, including a full luxury kitchen fit-out and a historic property conversion where bronze cabinetry runs throughout the kitchen and wine cellar. Rhijnart Keukens applied VeroMetal Bronze to a complete kitchen design in IJsselstein. Martin Van Essen Keukens delivered a VeroMetal Bronze kitchen project in Leusden. A further VeroMetal Bronze kitchen was completed in Alkmaar.

Architects and interior designers specifying VeroMetal® Bronze for kitchen cabinets select the bronze variant, the application method, and the finishing treatment. The key decision is whether the surface will be sealed or unsealed.
A sealed bronze surface maintains a consistent appearance over time and is easy to clean with standard kitchen cleaning products. A sealed VeroMetal Bronze cabinet is the most practical choice for high-use kitchen environments. An unsealed bronze surface develops natural verdigris and oxidation — a quality many designers actively specify for the authentic, aged character it brings to the kitchen over time.
VeroMetal® can be applied by a certified applicator on-site, which means existing kitchen cabinets can receive a bronze finish during a renovation without full cabinet replacement. This makes VeroMetal a cost-effective option for luxury kitchen refurbishment projects.

VeroMetal® Bronze is an abrasion-resistant coating designed for long-term use in interior environments. A sealed VeroMetal Bronze kitchen cabinet surface withstands normal kitchen use — including cleaning, handling, and everyday contact — and maintains its appearance with standard care.
VeroMetal's proven durability is documented across completed projects in demanding environments. The coating has been specified for museum display cases, hotel interiors, and high-use commercial surfaces where long-term performance is required. For kitchen cabinet applications, VeroMetal provides full technical documentation including application specifications and care guidance.
Bronze kitchen cabinets are kitchen cabinet fronts, drawer faces, and panel surfaces finished with a real bronze coating. VeroMetal® Bronze contains actual bronze particles applied at 120–150 microns to primed cabinet substrates including MDF and plywood. The result is a genuine bronze surface that develops authentic patina over time, unlike bronze-look laminates or foils which simulate the appearance without containing real metal.
Yes. VeroMetal® Bronze bonds directly to most existing cabinet surfaces including painted MDF, lacquered fronts, and primed plywood. A certified VeroMetal applicator can coat existing cabinet fronts on-site during a kitchen renovation, which means full cabinet replacement is not required to achieve a genuine bronze finish.
Sealed VeroMetal® Bronze kitchen cabinets are maintained with standard non-abrasive kitchen cleaning products and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on sealed surfaces. Unsealed bronze surfaces develop natural patina over time and require no special treatment — occasional light cleaning with a damp cloth is sufficient. VeroMetal provides full care guidance with every project specification.
Yes. VeroMetal® Bronze contains real bronze particles and develops authentic verdigris and oxidation patina when left unsealed, identical to the ageing process of solid bronze. The rate and character of patination depends on the environment, humidity, and surface treatment. Interior designers frequently specify unsealed VeroMetal Bronze for kitchen cabinets specifically to achieve this organic, evolving surface quality.
